i will make two engine bays, one replica, and one clean(tubbed fender wells, wire tuck).

@ Felix_unso, its a part of a big mod.. Read this:

# D1Racer : So it's been awhile, been busy at work, not as much time for SLRR nowdays, but I'm still working on all my projects. Decided to combine them and expand into one big project. Similar to what Diego Franco and Grudas are doing a bit of an overhaul mod.

Anyway here's the breakdown. Theme is like an Old n New kinda thing.

Cars included (will replace standard cars.

Baiern to 1981 BMW M1 and 2010 BMW M6

Duhen to 1994 Honda Civic and 2010 Honda Civic

Furrano to 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO and 2006 Ferrari 599 GTB and 2010 599XX

Einvagen to 1984 VW Golf and 2010 VW Golf

Ishima to 1998 Subaru Impreza to 2008 Subaru Impreza

Shimutsibi to 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo to 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo

Emer to 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GTR and 2010 Nissan GTR SpecV

MC to 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS and 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS

Prime to 1968 Shelby GT500KR and 2010 Shelby GT500

Super Duty to 2008 Saleen S331 SC

Also included will be some new tracks and possibly a new city.

All the engines will be rescripted to realistic specs and maybe some new parts.

Standard rims/tyres replaced by my rim pack with custom tyre scripts.

New brakes and better scripts so you don't have to use weak brakes to stop from locking up.

Working Sway bars.


Now most of you will be saying blah blah it will never get done blah blah. Whatever.

While I will be the first to say don't expect this any time soon, do expect it, it will happen. But with just myself and limited PC time available, it will take awhile.

If anyone wants to lend a hand let me know (Mainly scripters to help me with some custom script ideas, or modellers for some engine stuff.)

Once the overall mod is finished I might look at releasing the "in betweens" as updates.

Ok bit of an update, all of the converts have gone from simple quick converts to full on converts with heaps of parts and model variations. Example Instead of just the C6 ZR1 Corvette, It is now the C6 ZR1, Z06, GS, GT1, GT3 etc. And with the R35 GTR, There is the standard GTR, the original Prototype, the Spec V, then the GT1 and JGTC racing versions. So therefore it is taking longer. Plus all the other work I'm doing to try enhance the actual gameplay. It is coming along though, my net is slow atm but I'll upload pics after the weekend.

Now, if anyone wants to help me out, I need someone to model me a whole lot of headcovers. If anyone would help me out just send me a pm.

I kinda agree with Jaziba a little bit. Most of the huge "total conversion" mods I've ever seen for any game have rarely ever gotten finished. Especially if it only had one single person doing all the work. I'm not saying I think you're stupid for doing this, or that you should quit, I'm just saying that maybe you should consider other options. From the sounds of it, each of these cars would be spectacular addon cars if released individually. A C6 Corvette pack would make me cream in my pants. For a week straight. Whatever you do, it truly takes balls and a little bit of craziness to do a mod of this caliber all alone. If you finish this mod, you will earn +9001 more respect from me. And yes, that's over NINE THOUSAND! :O

Yes it's going to take awhile, maybe too long for some of you. But good things take time. And trust me when I say it will be finished.
I can't release them as addons, as they are not scripted for any patch that is out. So I have to finish it. Just keep watching this space I will keep you all updated.

And the reason I went from quick converts to full converts is, well we all know the attention span of most around here. It would be the buzz for a week and then gather hard drive dust because it didn't have 9000! extra parts. This patch will have something to satisfy everyone and very long playability.
